Mechatronics Engineering Manager

Reporting to the Director of R&D, you will lead the mechanical and electronics engineering teams and ensure an effective design and development of the products and systems required by the market in the short term and for the future, thus having a high impact on the success of the business and the company.

Mechatronics Engineering Manager

Your key areas of responsibilities will involve operational management and team leadership, collaborating with the software engineering team, testing department, project and product management, mainly:

• Team leadership and development: You lead, steer and supervise the engineering teams integrating mechanical and electronic design, provide them with the appropriate support to deliver the engineering solutions requested by the market and work on improving their performance and on building their engagement, skill and career development.
• Product design and development: You lead the design of mechanical and electronic solutions, using the various mechatronics, software and digital technologies and platforms. You also integrate cost to design thinking so to optimize the design of products and cost requirements.
• Prototyping and testing: Ensure an effective follow up with the prototyping and testing department in order to ensure that the systems developed are meeting the requirements and highest standards.
• Operational effectiveness: Work on building and optimizing the processes and team organization in order to build efficiency and operational excellence.
• Stakeholders’ management: Interact and cooperate with all key stakeholders involved in the product development, including your peers in the engineering department, in order to streamline all efforts towards the goals to be achieved in the short and long term.

Profile and key requirements: 

With an Engineering degree or equivalent Technical Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Industrial, …), you gained a solid experience in product engineering and innovation roles, and team leadership role within the mechatronics and automation industry, including inspection systems, robotics and automation systems. 

Entrepreneurial and innovation leader with positive energy and drive, action and result oriented, you have solid operational and organizational skills, capable to deliver with a clear customer focus and a collaborative approach as well to communicate in an effective way and manage relations with other stakeholders.

Fluency in German and English is a must.
