Senior System and Innovation Engineer

Reporting to the Director of R&D, you will foster Innovation and are a key contributor in defining and developing the products and systems for the future, thus having a high impact on the success of the business and the company.

Given IPEK’s ambitious expansion plan and the current strategic developments which will impact the industry, the company is looking for a senior professional as : Senior System and Innovation Engineer.

Your key areas of responsibilities will involve strategic thinking and research for innovative technologies as well as collaborating with the product management department and your colleagues in the engineering and testing department to define and develop the products and systems needed by the market while building a competitive edge for the company in the future. 

• Search for innovative technologies on a global level and assess with the engineering teams the possibility to integrate such technologies in our products and systems portfolio.
• System design and concept: You lead the design of systems in close collaboration of our engineering teams and product management department, integrating the various mechatronics, software and digital technologies and platforms, while ensuring modularity and standardisation.
• Product cost and Pricing: You closely coordinate with the engineering teams the product and systems costing in order to meet the pricing strategy and requirements.
• Prototyping and testing: Ensure an effective follow up with the prototyping and testing department in order to ensure that the systems developed are meeting the requirements and highest standards.
• Stakeholders’ management: Interact and cooperate with all key stakeholders involved in the product line so to streamline all efforts towards the goals to be achieved in the short-long term

Profile and key requirements: 

With an Engineering degree or equivalent Technical Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Industrial, …), you gained a solid experience in systems design, product engineering and innovation roles with global exposure in the mechatronics and automation industry, including inspection systems, robotics, automation systems. 

Entrepreneurial and innovation leader with positive energy and drive, action and result oriented, you have a strategic and systems thinking and are capable to deliver with a clear customer focus and collaborative approach while managing relations and influencing key stakeholders across the company and the value chain. 

Fluency in German and English is a must.
