RO-KA-TECH International Trade Fair for Pipe and Sewer Technology
a challenging year is drawing to a close. Even if most of the companies in our industry did not suffer any direct losses from the corona pandemic, we were all confronted with new tasks such as hygiene plans that no one would have expected last year.
Unfortunately, the board of directors and the advisory board had to make the painful decision to cancel RO-KA-TECH 2021. The contracts concluded with the organizer (VDRK) will be reversed due to the pandemic, so that you will not incur any costs on the part of the VDRK.
In addition to the real question of whether the event may take place from an official point of view, there was also the question of the expected benefit. The international audience, which had risen to over 40 percent during the past events, would probably disappear completely. But a sharp drop can also be expected in the national audience. Not every entrepreneur will take the risk of visiting a trade fair or sending his employees there. Municipalities and public clients have a travel ban until the end of this year and it is foreseeable that no travel permits will be issued for a trade fair in spring either. And last but not least, our decision also focused on the safety and health of all exhibitors and visitors.
We are aware that this trade fair is an important part of your sales strategy for you as an exhibitor. And the RO-KA-TECH is also an important platform for the VDRK, but our exhibitors now need planning security.
In order to be able to offer you an alternative during this time, we are working flat out to provide a virtual exhibition platform that enables you to present your products and innovations and to keep in contact with your customers. You have the opportunity to design your own exhibition stand, introduce and present products, and look after your customers at the exhibition stand via chat and video chat functions. More information on this will follow soon.
